At RPD, supporting our local community has always been a core part of who we are. Through the RPD Foundation, we’re proud to work alongside organisations that share our values and help make a lasting difference. Our partnership with Holistic Wellness Community (HWC) over the past year has been one of the most rewarding journeys we’ve taken.
Chosen as our Charity of the Year, HWC’s work stood out to us for its dedication to supporting the mental health and well-being of our community. From the very beginning, we knew this partnership had the potential to create a meaningful impact, and it certainly delivered.
Through the generosity of our colleagues, clients and business partners, we raised an incredible £10,854 in support of HWC. These funds played a vital role in the refurbishment of their new home at the Tilgate Scout Hut, now a welcoming, functional space providing essential wellness services to people across Crawley.
It’s thanks to the efforts of so many that this transformation was made possible, and it’s already having a positive effect on the lives of those HWC supports.
But the story doesn’t end there. What started as a fundraising effort soon evolved into a deeper relationship based on collaboration, mutual learning and shared purpose.
Through regular conversations and strategic guidance from the RPD Foundation team, we supported HWC in developing its long-term plans. These honest and open discussions provided them with the opportunity to reflect, identify areas for growth, and move forward with confidence.
Together, we explored their mission, refined their goals, and worked on strengthening the foundation for a sustainable future.
A standout moment during the year was supporting HWC’s involvement in the Manor Royal BID Brokerage Initiative. They now sit on the Project Steering Group, helping shape discussions on local business and wellbeing.
This opportunity has not only given them a greater voice in the local development space but has also opened up new avenues for them to expand their support into more workplaces, bringing mental health awareness to the heart of our business community.
Reflecting on this past year, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. HWC recently shared with us:
“The support you’ve given has helped us see our potential more clearly. It’s not just about funding, it’s about clarity, connection, and confidence.”
At RPD, we couldn’t agree more. Partnerships like this underscore the importance of giving with intention and fostering genuine collaboration. As we continue our work through the RPD Foundation, we look forward to building more purposeful connections that make a lasting difference.
