Philip Hayden FCA

Philip joined the firm in 1976 and has developed considerable experience in looking after the accounting and tax affairs of individuals and small and medium sized businesses of varying types. He takes a special interest in business start-ups and business expansion along with the associated tax complexities. He is also involved with the local business community and helps on the executive of the Crawley Chamber of Commerce, Business Watch and Shopmobility.


Maurice Frost FCA

Maurice rejoined the firm in 1989 following periods of time working for two national accountancy practices. He heads up both our Audit and Assurance Services and our Business Growth Services.

His particular passions are strategic planning, team building and helping businesses to achieve their profit potential; passions that he is able to bring to our clients though the ‘Added Value’ services that we are able to offer.

Maurice plays drums and percussion (with Latin jazz-rock and Celtic influences!) and is a supporter of Harlequins rugby.


Matthew Tyson FCA, CTA

Matthew is Director of Taxation for the firm, overseeing its taxation operations. Whether your needs are based around planning and advice or compliance, our tax team can help with almost any tax related issue. This can cover the whole host of taxes from the more obvious matters such as Income Tax, to the less regularly encountered Capital Taxes and Inheritance Tax.

Matthew is a member of the Institute of Taxation and writes regularly for local publications. Matthew also lectures on tax related subjects to both clients and non-clients, providing topical and tax-saving tips.

Matthew is a keen cricketer, regularly playing in both outdoor and indoor local leagues throughout the year as well as making regular visits to the gym.


Darren Harding FCCA

Darren heads up our rapidly growing Charities and not-for-profit division, where he has built up a wealth of knowledge of the specific accounting and other requirements of this highly specialised area. His knowledge and experience has been recognised by the award of a Diploma in Charity Accounting by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  With a new Charities Act and another new SORP to contend with, the sector continues to need the support of such specialised and expert advice. Darren and his dedicated Charity accounts team have built a well-deserved reputation for knowledge, understanding and empathy with their client base.

Darren is a lifelong Chelsea supporter and has experience of managing ‘indie’ rock bands!
