Karen Corduff ACA FCCA BA (Hons) - Director
Main practice area: Audit, assurance and accounts preparation work for all entities with a specific expertise in Charities, Schools and Care Homes.
Career rundown: I trained and qualified with a top 50 accountancy practice before going on to become a Manager within the Audit and Assurance department of a top 10 accountancy firm. I later joined RPD in 2011 where I have progressed from a Client Manager to a Senior Manager and now a Director.
Achievements within your professional life you are particularly proud of: Getting my ACCA and FCA qualification and passing all my exams first time.
Being responsible for student training and development in the last four Firms I have worked for, including designing and rolling out training and appraisal processes.
Creating an internal audit work manual to be used by the Firm I was working for on all audit assignments.
What would you be if you weren't an accountant? A chef as I love spending time in the kitchen cooking.
What do you find most rewarding about your job? Giving clients a great service and making a real difference in assisting them run their organisations.
Also seeing the team we have here at RPD develop and fulfil their potential.
Describe yourself in four words: Determined, thoughtful, loud and unpredictable (however I think most people here would probably add grumpy first thing before having a couple of cups of tea!)

Your favourite comedian: Jasper Carrott
Your favourite holiday destination: Safari anywhere in Africa.
What did you want to be "when you grew up"? A chef or hotel manager.

What do you like to do in your spare time? Read, bake, play tennis or squash, kickboxing and swimming.
